Cat’s First Appointment

Before You Arrive

We are so excited you have decided to try out Willow’s Groomer! The Willow’s Groomer Team can’t wait to meet you! Before your first appointment, here are a few things you can do to make your check-in a bit shorter and smoother.

  1. Proof of Rabies and FVRCP: Before our team can start working on your furry baby we will need to see the due date for the Rabies & FVRCP Vaccines. (Unfortunately, the Rabies Tag is insufficient because we can’t tell the month and day it will be due next) You can bring a hard copy showing the next due dates to your appointment, or you can send it over before to our email.

  2. Fill out our Cat Grooming Enrollment Form: Grooming is a very personable process, and we would like to know as much about your cat as we can. This form allows that to happen and will give you some additional details on a few of our policies. You can fill it out before your appointment, email it back to us filled out, or feel free to print it and bring it to your first visit. You can find our Enrollment Form HERE. The Willow’s Groomer Team is always available to answer any questions you may have about this!

  3. Getting a haircut? We love to see clients with an idea of what they would like to see their pets look like. Sometimes we have to modify what photo you may bring to us to work with your specific cat’s coat, but we will do our best to get it just right. Feel free to bring in photos, or just ideas of what you’d like us to do. We also LOVE to help come up with the most ideal haircut for your pet as well, so you can always let us have a bit of a creative session with you when you check in.

When You Arrive

The big day has come, you are getting ready to turn into our beautiful parking lot. Here are some helpful tips before you jump out of the car and head inside:

  • Our shop is located on a busy street. We highly recommend the use of cat carriers, and make sure you check that it is closed and locked before you exit your car. Having a rough morning, or can’t seem to get your cat in their carrier? Did you know you can use a pillowcase to carry them safely from your car to our shop? It is the next best option to travel safely with your cat!

    Head Inside for Check-in

  • Juliana, our receptionist will greet you with a warm welcome and start your check-in process. We will make sure we have a good phone number to call for pick-up. Saving our phone number in your phone can make for an even easier call for pickup. Then Juliana will confirm services with you and go over what’s included. We will then confirm that we have your FVRC & Rabies Vaccine Due Dates in our system and that you have filled out our Enrollment Form. Once we have confirmed all of that, we will have Ashley come upfront to have a one-on-one consultation about your cat’s needs.

While Your Cat Is Here

Now that check-in is completed, it’s time to sit back and relax! Your cat is in great hands with us and we will let you know when it’s time to head back our way for pickup. Depending on what your cat is coming to us for it can take up to 2 - 4 hours for them to be ready. We want them to have a stress-free experience and don’t want to rush their time with us. If you are coming in just for a mani-pedi, you can wait in our retail area while we work our magic. Once you come back for pickup, Ashley will come up front and let you know how everything went. If at any time during your cat’s time with us, you’d like a status update, please don’t hesitate to call or text our shop. We love to not only make your cat feel comfortable, but we also want you to feel confident while they are in our care.
